Youth Ministry

The 12 STONE'S is the youth ministries of Greater Northwest Baptist Church, that seeks to accomplish the biblical mandate to reach youth whose culture is constantly changing with the biblical truth that never changes. In a day where the mindset of the church is marked by comfort and complacency, 12 STONE'S is striving to share the life-changing message of Christ in a fresh and appealing fashion. Thus, our goal is to see lives changed through teaching that is solid in biblical content and culturally relevant.   The 12 STONE'S

Ministry consists of the Word of Life Bible Clubs, the Youth and YAM Ministries and children's teaching ministries of GNWBC working together to become a resource to families, focusing on discipleship and mentoring, and being salt-and-light followers of Christ.

Youth Minister

Marlin Stewart has been an active member of Greater Northwest Baptist Church for the past nine years.  God called him into the preaching in ministry December 2000, and he has been one of Greater Northwest associate ministers since 2001, where he helps with ministerial responsibilities.  Prior to accepting his call and becoming youth pastor, he served within the church in various capacities.  He helped with the youth department, and served as the director of the Word of Life Bible Clubs for five years.

Marlin is a graduate from Crossroads Bible College with a degree in Pastoral Ministry with an emphasis in Greek.

He is blessed with a wonderful wife, Ivette, and two children, Aaron and Jordan.

Marlin's vision and desire are very simple:

  • To come along side Pastor Robinson, helping to fulfill God’s purpose in the body for our youth.

  • To seek to accomplish the biblical mandate to reach youth whose culture is constantly changing with biblical truth that never changes.

  • To share the life changing message of Christ in a fresh and appealing fashion.

  • To see lives changed through teaching that is based on biblical content and culturally relevant.

  • To work together with families, by becoming a resource focusing on discipleship, teaching, mentoring, encouraging, enriching and supporting through training.  Being salt and the light of world, followers of Jesus Christ.

  • To develop a curriculum that will impacts youth with effective biblical centered ministry.

Marlin is responsible for getting you connected, guiding and assimilating you through our youth ministry process during the early stages of membership.  Should you have any concerns or need information, please contact him at the church office 299-9244.
